Tips on the use of special characteristics in LexiTrainer

  • The shortcuts are based on the QWERTZ keyboard layout usual in the German speaking countries.
  • A “+” in the shortcut means that you must keep the first key pressed while you are pressing the following key(s). For example, “alt+0199” means you must keep the Alt key pressed while you are pressing the keys “0”, “1”, “9”, and “9” in succession.
  • When shortcuts consist of “alt” and a number you must enter the number via the number pad on the right of your keyboard (“Num Lock” must be lit up).
  • The browser "Safari” under Mac OS X may not depict a number of special characters correctly. This is apparently a programming error. In this case you will have to use another browser (e.g. Camino).
